Het Hart Ontdaan Van Al Zijn Bloed Is Wit

‘Het Hart Ontdaan Van Al Zijn Bloed Is Wit’ is a short documentary-style film that explores the profound impact of sexual trauma. The film examines how such trauma affects not only the individual who experiences it but also those with whom it is inevitably shared.

Sexual trauma is never a solitary experience. Every subsequent intimate relationship is touched by the trauma in some way, as each partner may carry aspects of it in various forms. Thus, sexual assault transcends the boundaries of individual experience, becoming a collective and shared reality.

In this documentary, I engaged in conversations with all of the men with whom I had had intimate relationships. This ongoing self-reflective research sought to understand how my own trauma may have impacted, or left an impression on, others as I strived toward healing.

Due to the highly sensitive nature of the topics addressed, the film remains private and is not available for public circulation.
